FIBERGLASS ODOR CONTROL COVERS FOR WATER, WASTERWATER & INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS
Glass-Steel, Inc. custom designs and fabricates odor control covers for collection of noxious emissions in numerous water and wastewater applications. All covers have integral access doors custom-sized to fit the requirements of each particular application.

Fiberglass Composite Troughs
Glass-Steel, Inc. manufactures a proprietary system of composite effluent troughs for water collection in the water/wastewater applications. Troughs are typically used in clarifiers (both circular and rectangular), grit collectors, sedimentation basins, thickeners, filter systems, etc. Glass-Steel, Inc.’s composite troughs offer features and benefits not available in pre-cast or cast in place concrete troughs, aluminum troughs, stainless steel troughs, galvanized or painted steel troughs, or conventional fiberglass troughs.

BAFFLE WALL SYSTEMS
Glass-Steel, Inc. custom designs and fabricates baffle wall systems for use in Clearwells, Chlorine Contact Chambers, Flocculation Basins, Aeration Chambers, Mixer Basins, etc. Glass-Steel, Inc. baffle wall systems are all fiberglass systems utilizing NSF-61 certified pultruded components. Fiberglass baffle walls are usually lower in cost than clearheart redwood with stainless steel angle supports, poured in place concrete, aluminum, or stainless systems. Our fiberglass columns are less expensive than poured in place concrete, aluminum, or stainless of comparable strength.

Fiberglass Composite Stop Logs
Glass-Steel, Inc. produces composite stop logs for temporary storage of water in flow channels in Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. The sizes of the stop logs vary in height to what ever is the customer preference and the thickness of the stop log varies accordingly to the span and differential head pressure to be designed for.
-
Fiberglass Composite Stop Gates
Glass-Steel, Inc. produces composite stop gates for temporary storage of water in flow channels in Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. The sizes of the stop gates vary in height and depth to suit the application. Stop Gates can have an integral boss thickened area for strength or structural members similar to those shown on our stop plates. Stop gates have neoprene J Bulb seals on both sides of the guide frame as an integral part of the guide frame and a bottom J Bulb seal attached to the Stop Gate for sealing to the floor.

Fiberglass Composite Stop Plates
Glass-Steel, Inc. produces composite stop plates for temporary storage of water in flow channels in flow channels in water and wastewater treatment plants. The thickness and or reinforcement of the stop plate varies per application. Thickness of flat gates can exceed 1” thick. Reinforcement gates are generally 1/4” pultruded plate with pultruded stiffeners sized per the load requirements for that particular application. Fiberglass pultruded members are 2 to 2-1/2 times as strong as comparable hand layup members and up to 4 to 5 times as strong as some spray up members.

Fiberglass Stamford Baffles
Glass-Steel, Inc. fabricates Stamford Baffles (also known as Density Current Baffles or Up-flow Baffles) for use in Clarifiers. Stamford type baffles have been used for over (30) years in the water/wastewater industry to divert currents created by the clarifier rake arm as it turns and rakes sludge toward the discharge sump. Stamford Baffles have been made of concrete, galvanized steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Our pultruded fiberglass Stamford baffles are lower in cost and easier to install than any of the above.
Glass-Steel, Inc. furnishes the Stamford baffles with an integral standoff brace every 8-10 feet. Because our Stamford baffles are fiberglass pultrusions they have superior corrosion resistance and are stronger than most other fiberglass Stamford baffle systems.
